5 minutes to ultimate movie popcorn

If you’re looking to make the best popcorn for a night (or afternoon) in at the movies, you only need a few items and five minutes. I came across some heirloom, non-GMO popping corn at Winners and it is amazing stuff.

Drop in two test kernels and cover. When you hear them pop, scoop them out and add enough kernels for a single layer on the bottom of the pot.

Want to break up with sugar for good?

Cover and wait for the popping to start, shaking periodically so your snack doesn’t burn. Once you hear the popping slow down, remove the pot from the heat and leave the lid on till popping stops.

Then transfer to a bowl and top with melted organic butter and sea salt or nutritional yeast or whatever you like!

This way you avoid all the chemicals in microwave popcorn and get a bowl of popcorn that tastes even better.
